Fused bi-conical tapering technology enables the manufacture of optical branching components for the accurate splitting and monitoring of optical signals in singlemode fibre. Proprietary manufacturing techniques provide enhanced performance components featuring such characteristics as uniquely low excess loss and wavelength dependence, along with low polarisation and temperature dependence for both signal and tap ports These high performance parts are available in a wide variety of tap ratios, wavelength ranges, housing and connector options. Product reliability is assured through qualification to Telcordia GR-1221. G&H offer the widest product range of any fused coupler manufacturer, including visible wavelength components, polarisation maintaining (PM) components, high power ultra-low ratio taps and beam pointing wavelength combiners for fibre laser systems. Components manufactured from large mode area (LMA) fibres are also available.
